My communication style

I am a very open listener, and my tone is light and positive. I will give advice or ways to help you in your process, but not one to make it hard or overwhelming. I enjoy setting goals for people and journaling to express feelings as well.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became an educator for emotionally disturbed kids because my little sister struggled after our parents' divorce. I knew there had to be a better way to help kids in schools, which led me to get my master's and counsel youth and adults. I truly love seeing people embark on a new journey.

My goals for you

I usually will set an easy goal and one medium/hard goal for you to accomplish. We will discuss how you wish to accomplish them and discuss ways for you to accomplish them. I do not like to overwhelm clients at first with goals, but really talk and get to know what the goal is that you want to reach.

Our first session

I introduce myself, and let you introduce yourself, if you feel comfortable talking about or diving into the problem at first, great, if not, we can just set some expectations and goals you want to reach with counseling.
