My name is Kallie Weaver, LPC and I use a trauma-informed cline centered approach to treatment. I work will those who need help managing their anger and people who "zone out" too much.
My approach
My foundation is Internal Family Systems, but I borrow techniques from other therapies to fit client needs.
My focus
I enjoy helping people both manage their emotions and learn to feel their emotions. This may be anxiety, depression, DID, schizophrenia, or other everyday stress.
My communication style
I've been told that I am very warm and welcoming. I try to make therapy as fun as it can be. I use humor and metaphors to make whatever is brought in more approachable.
My journey to mental healthcare
I read Silence of the Lambs in middle school and wanted to be like Hannibal Lecter (minus the murder). Life led me to become an LPC. I love helping people change for the better, and there is a ripple effect. When we get better, those around us start getting better.
My goals for you
Client led! I'll provide the input, but only the client will know what is good for them at that point in time.
