My communication style

My counseling style is pretty casual. I have been described as compassionate, open-minded, and a good listener with a good sense of humor. I try and help clients focus on their strengths and help them use those strengths to overcome life's obstacles.

My journey to mental healthcare

After completing my undergrad in Psychology and Communication, it was my very own career counselor in college who first introduced me to the concept of therapy and being a counselor. I have always enjoyed talking, listening, and guiding friends and family through life's issues and stressors.

My goals for you

I believe that change comes with setting goals, and therefore, setting goals is a topic that will be presented at the commencement of your sessions in order to help guide and provide motivation to achieve the changes and or address the concerns that need to be worked through and or processed.

Our first session

During your first session, expect to go over assessment scores and provide information regarding your emergency contact, background and history, and what brings you to therapy. We will set goals and objectives, and my goal after every session is for my clients to walk away feeling confident and informed.
