My communication style

My communication is client-focused. My primary communication objective is for you, the client, to experience a genuine perception of safety in the therapeutic relationship: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual - in order that you can relax, be transparent, and enjoy a genuine encounter.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a therapist started as an Active Duty Army Chaplain. Soldiers and their families came to me with dilemmas and difficulties that I needed more training to assist them with. The Army trained me as a clinical therapist in order to be a better Pastoral Counselor to my Soldiers.

My goals for you

I will assist you in reaching your treatment goals as a 'Guide By Your Side' as opposed to the 'Sage on the Stage.' You are the expert on your life, and I will assist you in discovering and articulating what you want to accomplish in therapy.

Our first session

In our first session, we will assess your overall situation personally, mentally, and emotionally. I will ask pertinent questions that will give me the data and information necessary to better understand your current situation in its proper context. We will initiate a healthy and dynamic therapeutic relationship designed to meet your goals.
