My communication style

I try to establish a trusting client-therapist relationship and allow the client to feel free to be themselves during a session. I want the client to feel safe, worthy. When a client has succeeded in reaching their counseling goals or goals, I pray that the client feels hopeful and equipped to face each day with grace and peacefulness.

My journey to mental healthcare

While in high school, I noticed the personal conflicts other students had and the games people play. Also during that time, there was racial rioting in the school, and several students were hurt throughout the time. I remember the fear of not being able to find my sister on one occasion and feeling so hopeless and scared.

My goals for you

I want to understand how your mental health impacts your daily life, then prioritize obstacles together. You identify which thoughts or behaviors we start with, staying true to client-based therapy and ensuring the work feels right for you.

Our first session

The first session is a get-to-know-you experience. At the end, I want to know if you're comfortable with me. If not, I'll make sure to refer you to someone else. I never want to waste your time.
