Hi there, I'm Jennifer!

Hello, my name is Jennifer and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I hold a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, specializing in mental health. I am licensed in both California and Texas, and have been working in various mental health settings for the past seven years, helping clients with a wide range of needs.

My approach

My approach to therapy is client-based, allowing you to drive the focus of each session. I believe in empowering you to take an active role in your healing journey. Through a collaborative process, we will work together to identify your goals and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and challenges.

My focus

I work with individuals facing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, and more. Whether you are coping with a chronic illness, navigating life transitions, or seeking to improve your self-esteem and coping skills, I am here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.

My communication style

My communication style is warm, empathetic, and direct. I strive to create an atmosphere of trust and openness, where you feel heard, understood, and supported. I will listen attentively to your experiences, provide feedback and insights, and encourage you to express yourself freely. Together, we will engage in meaningful conversations that foster self-awareness, growth, and positive change.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to mental healthcare began with a deep passion for helping others navigate life's challenges. Through my own experiences and education, I developed a strong foundation in social work and a commitment to supporting individuals in their pursuit of emotional well-being. I earned my Master's degree from the University of Southern California, specializing in mental health, which equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively guide others on their path to healing and personal growth.

My goals for you

My goal for you is to help you achieve a greater sense of self-understanding, emotional resilience, and overall well-being. I aim to provide you with the tools, insights, and support needed to overcome obstacles, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and build fulfilling relationships. Together, we will work towards creating positive changes in your life, empowering you to reach your full potential and lead a more satisfying and meaningful existence.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will take the time to get to know each other and discuss your reasons for seeking therapy. I will listen carefully to your concerns, gather information about your background and experiences, and begin to understand your unique needs and goals. This initial meeting will serve as a foundation for building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and collaboration. We will also discuss the logistics of therapy, such as frequency of sessions and any questions you may have about the process.
