Hi there, I'm Marilee!

I have been practicing for almost 4 years. I received my bachelor's in Psychology from Texas Tech University and my master's in Counseling from the University of Texas Permian Basin. As a first-generation Mexican-American, I deeply connect with how our cultural backgrounds affect our lives. I provide therapy in both Spanish and English.

I enjoy working with couples, adolescents, and adults the most. I like working with people who are truly invested in therapy and eager to apply changes to their lives. I like working with individuals who are trying to break generational trauma and have strong cultural factors affecting their mental health.

My approach

I often integrate humanistic and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to provide a comprehensive approach to healing. I also use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support your growth and well-being.

I strive to create a welcoming and secure environment during our sessions, fostering a space where you can feel at ease and encouraged to express yourself openly. My primary objective is to support comfort and facilitate meaningful communication.

Having experienced the impact of mental health stigma during my upbringing, I am deeply committed to breaking generational cycles that hinder individuals from embracing alternative approaches. My Hispanic background has further fueled my passion for promoting mental health awareness across diverse cultures.
