My name is Leila El-Bathy and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with adults and specialize in depression, anxiety, and stress using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Supportive Therapy to help clients move forward and develop their well-being.
My approach
My approach to therapy is client-driven. I believe clients should choose goals and the best way to achieve them. I provide non-judgmental support, ideas, skills, and education based on client needs. I mainly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Supportive Therapy but I am open to other modalities to best fit the client.
My focus
The clients I work best with include those diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and bipolar. I also have experience with clients diagnosed with BPD, PTSD, and those experiencing psychosis. I work with clients experiencing difficult symptoms to change harmful thought patterns, shift perspectives, identify values, and adjust behaviors.
My communication style
My communication style is supportive, non-judgmental, and accommodating. I want clients to feel comfortable in exploring and discussing sensitive topics without fear of feeling judged or belittled.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always been drawn to helping others, from volunteering in my community to providing a listening ear to friends in distress. I am an empath by nature and prefer to see others happy and thriving. I find meaning in my work to help others.
