Hi there, I'm Julee!

I use a person-centered, individualized approach to therapy. I understand everyone is unique with their own values, experiences, and struggles in life.

My focus

I help individuals dealing with various issues, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, faith transitions, trauma, and life stressors such as interpersonal relationships and school or job stress.

My approach

I strive to find the interventions that work best for each client while also being trauma-informed and attachment-focused. I use various mindfulness skills to help my clients learn how to manage their emotions effectively, and I believe in only using evidence-based practices, such as EMDR and CBT, so that we can count on seeing positive outcomes.

My communication style

My goal is to build a trusting relationship with my clients in a safe environment, so they can feel heard and motivated to make small steps toward positive changes in their lives. I know that finding a therapist can feel like finding the right shoe that fits, so transparency and feedback are important parts of a therapeutic relationship.

My goals for you

I like to work on the goals that my clients identify for themselves. If my client can tell me what they want to be different, we can work together on how to make small changes towards that goal. Monitoring for progress is an important aspect of treatment.

Our first session

In our first session, an Intake/ Evaluation is conducted, so this is a very different kind of experience from all future sessions. In this initial meeting, I'll ask a lot of different questions about your history and the problem you want help with, and hopefully start creating some goals.
