My communication style

My approach to counseling begins with active listening while building a relationship of trust and respect. I strive to provide my clients with a safe, non-judgmental environment where they are free to explore and learn in ways that best suits their individual needs. I am experienced in working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families.

My journey to mental healthcare

I began as a Career Counselor helping students identify future career paths and work through personal, social, and economic concerns. I also worked as a Mental Health Counselor where I was able to support others during difficult experiences and help them recognize their own strengths while teaching them skills to cope and adapt.

My goals for you

I start by learning about my client’s needs and prioritize their thoughts to identify goals and understand what success means. Real change takes time and does not happen instantly, so it is important to create achievable steps to reach the long-term goals including identifying barriers that prevent change and building on a person's strengths.

Our first session

The first counseling session is an important opportunity to create a safe, respectful, and supportive working relationship. During this initial meeting, I will introduce the counseling process, explain confidentiality and its limitations and encourage you to share your concerns, experiences and reasons for pursuing counseling.
