I try to approach things with a strengths-based lens and see you as the hero. My communication style is humorous, sometimes adding a light-hearted spin to a heavy problem. That being said, I am real and genuine, empathetic and kind! But I can also call you on your... villain era ...

My journey to mental healthcare

My aunt had Down syndrome, so growing up, I watched my grandma do some really cool advocacy for disability rights. As I came out of the closet in my adolescence, I didn't really have any queer support. So, I leaned on a therapist. He was really influential during a really tough time, and I want to be that beacon of hope for others.

My goals for you

I start every session with an update on life. Then I ask what direction you want to take in our session, and what you're hoping to get from it (it can be validation, skills, a safe space to talk, a different perspective, etc.) I use ACT to help you accept the world as it is, and focus your attention on the things that matter and change.

Our first session

During the first session, I take time to hear your story! Gathering information about what your struggles and strides are. I get to know the true you! After hearing your story, we will collaborate on a treatment plan that we will revisit and revamp periodically throughout treatment.
