Hi there, I'm Michelle!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both California and Utah and have been providing therapy services for 5 years. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults. I have been trained and certified in trauma treatment, and my other areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, foster care/adoption, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.

I enjoy working with clients of all ages, especially those recovering from traumatic experiences or dealing with anxiety, depression, or faith struggles and transitions.

My approach

I am an eclectic therapist and pull from many different modalities based on my client's individual needs. I lean heavily on cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment, and positive psychology therapy approaches. I begin by working with you to build a healthy therapeutic relationship.

I engage through active listening and open-ended questions, encouraging reflection and creating space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was drawn to therapy as a career when I began receiving therapy after experiencing interpersonal trauma. I have also received training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and emotion-focused therapy, as well as treating self-harm and crisis management.

Our first session

Your first session will be an overall assessment where I'll ask about your symptoms, history, health, relationships, and what brings you to therapy. We'll also work together on building a treatment plan to guide your therapy services.
