My journey to mental healthcare

My journey into mental health care began with a deep desire to support people beyond surface-level symptoms. As a nurse, I witnessed how emotional pain often goes unspoken and untreated, and I knew I wanted to be a part of changing that. I pursued advanced training to become a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

My goals for you

I approach goal setting as a collaborative process where the patient’s voice leads the way. Together, we identify meaningful, realistic goals that align with their values and readiness for change. I break larger goals into manageable steps and use evidence-based strategies like SMART goal planning and motivational interviewing.

Our first session

In our first session, patients can expect a warm, supportive space where we focus on getting to know each other. I’ll ask about your symptoms, history, and what brings you to care right now. We’ll also discuss your goals, any previous treatment experiences, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together.
