Hi there, I'm Melissa!

Hi! My name is Dr. Melissa Woods. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 13 years of experience in the mental health field. As a clinician, I enjoy the collaborative navigation of lived experiences in service of cultivating a better quality and more fulfilling life.

My approach

In therapy, I utilize a holistic understanding of presenting issues and the unique needs of each individual to guide my therapeutic approach. I am deeply rooted in psychodynamic and interpersonal theory, and specialize in CBT, ACT, DBT, Relational Therapy, and Attachment-based Therapy.

My focus

I am open to working with individuals of all backgrounds. I also have a niche passion for working with individuals of minority status and those with military/veteran history. I specialize in addressing relationship concerns, depression and anxiety, trauma, sleep difficulties, self-esteem, and stress management.

My communication style

Authenticity is an essential component of the therapeutic environment. I strive to create spaces for individuals to feel safe, heard, seen, and empowered.

My goals for you

Having meaningful goals creates an intentional purpose and sets the foundation for lasting therapeutic work. I believe in a collaborative goal-setting approach that is continuously monitored throughout the therapeutic journey.
