Hello! My name is Faheda Rasool. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) residing in the state of Florida. At this time, I hold licenses in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, Wyoming, and Hawaii.
My approach
I began building my clinical experience in 2018 and my therapy approach is described as warm and open. My practice uses elements from CBT, DBT, and solution-focused modalities.
My focus
I have experience working with symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, challenges with emotional regulation and coping, as well as narcissistic tendencies/abuse.
My communication style
During sessions, I strive to create a safe, open, and comfortable environment for clients. I recognize how difficult it can be talking to a complete stranger about vulnerable and sensitive challenges experienced. Therapy should be a safe and inviting space to grow, learn, and explore.
My journey to mental healthcare
I've always been passionate about wanting to help and be there for others. I chose to become a therapist as a way to emotionally support, motivate, and encourage individuals as they face some of their most difficult times in life. The idea of going to therapy can be daunting to many, but it can serve as a tremendous help and support while learning tools and techniques to navigate dysfunction and build lifelong skills and resiliency.
My goals for you
From me, you can expect to feel heard, acknowledged, and validated. Respect and open communication are essential components of my approach.
My first session with you
During our first session together, we'll work on identifying challenges that led you to this space and targets for change. As we continue working together, goals may change, and that's perfectly okay!
