Hi there, I'm Richard!

I am bilingual and certified in substance abuse and mental health. I have taught psychology courses at community college and university levels, and have experience as a case manager and Employee Assistance Professional.

My focus

I have experience working with adults and adolescents. Most recently, I worked as a Military and Family Life Counselor, assigned to an elementary school working with students and stakeholders of military installations. I have also consistently practiced with adults in community practice. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.

Therapeutically, I work as an eclectic therapist, focusing on motivational interviewing, client-centered therapy, and positive psychology.

I provide a safe, non-biased, and non-judgmental environment. My work is client-centered so that the therapeutic relationship is productive and developmental.

I have worked in the helping professions in various mental health and substance treatment programs around the country. I enjoy working with individuals and feel that I have the ability to listen, hear, learn, and implement resources for growth and development.
