Hi there, I'm Ashley!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 11 years of experience. I’m licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. My experience began in a dual-diagnosis hospital with adolescents facing chronic illness and mental health challenges. "Social work chose me as a way to live out my purpose of helping others find hope and healing".

My focus

I connect best with clients who want a therapist who's compassionate but also real and relatable. I'm not the typical "TV" therapist. I bring warmth, humor, and authenticity into sessions, creating a space where you can show up as you are and still feel supported and understood. We will laugh, cry, all while rebuilding and growing.

Expect to feel comfortable, heard, and understood. I'm here for you and want to ensure every interaction with me is rewarding and a step to upgrading your life. In the early stages of therapy, expect to allow space for me to get to know you and what is bringing you to therapy. We will work together to develop a plan based on your needs and desires.

My goal is to meet you where you are, understand your own goals and strengths. I take pride in understanding what matters most to you, what has and hasn't worked in the past, and what challenges you currently face. I ask thoughtful questions, use active listening, and collaborate to identify strategies and techniques that will be best for you.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a counselor because I've always had a deep passion for helping others, and I believe everyone deserves the chance to be heard and to heal. My own experiences taught me the value of having a safe, compassionate space to process life's challenges.

My goals for you

I value authenticity, empathy, and creating a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported as they navigate their journey. I encourage clients to be realistic with their own expectations. Recognizing that change doesn't happen overnight. Identifying current stressors can bring up previous traumas or experiences in conversations.

Our first session together is a chance for me to get to know you and what is bringing you to therapy. At this time, I encourage the most honesty as it shapes our future sessions for success when an individual is mentally prepared to be fully transparent.
