My communication style

The tone will be challenging with support and trust. We'll infuse lighter notes and humor where we find them. Unless there's a fresh incident requiring deep listening, the pace moves to the level you can manage. You'll be asked to try on opposing perspectives. It will feel like work with spaces to breathe.

My journey to mental healthcare

Like most therapists, I had a challenging childhood. I've served in women's abuse shelters, with sexual assault victims, in emergency room crisis evaluations, and with outpatient populations. My purpose is to help you handle your issues with increased agency.

My goals for you

By the end of our first session, we'll know what sub-goals you've agreed to take on in your path forward. It's not cookie-cutter—you're a person, and your progress is respected for the unique individual you are.

Our first session

We discuss the issue and collaborate on a primary goal. I'll hear your concern and challenge you wherever I detect possible gaps. We start working in the first session.
