Hi there, I'm Sandra!
I have been a mental health social work clinician for 40 years, using EBPs & life experiences. I earned my MSW in 1985 and my PhD in 1996. I've worked in varied settings, including public schools, child welfare, primary health care, criminal justice, and academia. I'm also an adoptive mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, pet lover, and friend.
My focus
Do you feel overwhelmed by life? Anxious? Depressed? Traumatized? Grieving? Feel like crap? I would be honored to help you! With over 4 decades of experience, I take a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, using a myriad of evidence-based strategies to support your healing journey, strengthening your resilience and coping skills to face life.
My approach
My approach is warm, direct, professional, practical and honest. Together, we develop a genuine caring relationship to build your resilience. I am grounded in trauma-informed, practical problem-solving, combining research and both of our personal expertise and experiences to guide the therapeutic process. I occasionally use humor to defuse stress.
