My communication style

I let the client help me set that as I take my cues from their presenting comfort level, and as we get to know each other, I encourage them to relax and know that the hardest part is over, and commend them for having taken such a courageous step to get help. I also like to use humor when the appropriate moment presents itself.

My journey to mental healthcare

Growing up with a father as a Pastor and a mother as a Nurse, I have always had a heart to want to help those who are wanting or needing better. Knowing that I may have the capacity to help is what drives me to do this work.

My goals for you

Sometimes understanding what one really wants is a process. But once the true desires are known, goal setting almost speaks for itself; you take it one step at a time, with thoughtful prioritizing.

Our first session

They will have the opportunity to let me know what their most urgent need is and be provided with the information on what they can expect from me, in addition to having any questions or concerns addressed.
