Despite trying our best, we sometimes feel stuck in patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving that aren't serving us well. Therapy can help us learn to observe and respond to thoughts, feelings, and situations in a more flexible way that can improve our life satisfaction and reduce distressing symptoms. PhD.
My focus
I provide individual therapy to adults 18 years of age and older. I commonly work with people on the following concerns: stress, mood/depression, anxiety and trauma/PTSD, relationships, substance use, sexual performance, sexuality, insomnia, chronic health conditions, and life transitions.
My approach
My approach is collaborative. I strive to provide a supportive and safe place for people to speak openly without fear of judgment. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques like motivational enhancement therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and written exposure therapy (for trauma/PTSD).
