Hi there, I'm Maiah!

Welcome! Our work together will be dynamic, reflective, and creative, with dashes of humor, invitations to try new things, and together finding concrete ways to help you feel better.

My focus

I support new parents and caregivers navigating perinatal mood disorders and life transitions. I enjoy working with young folks, helping them navigate the world in creative ways, and supporting parents in their role. I also work with folks navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, identity issues, and cultural challenges.

My approach

I work through a feminist, non-directive lens, following your lead, listening, asking questions, and exploring the narrative you frame your life in. As a writer, I use narrative and poetic therapy because language and self-characterization are true for us. I also use creative arts, compassion, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches.
