Hi there, I'm Lori!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Wisconsin. My approach to therapy is holistic and person-centered. I typically focus on anxiety, panic, grief, trauma, and shame.

My focus

I work with a variety of clients. Most of my clients are facing very stressful life transitions related to work, school, or family. I am comfortable treating anxiety, panic, grief, trauma, and shame.

My approach

I want to be certain I am a good fit for you. This is so important! We will spend a session or two getting to know one another to determine how comfortable you feel with me. More than anything, I want you to know you are in a safe space with me. I want you to know you are respected and heard.

My communication style

I like to believe I have a great sense of humor, and I try to incorporate this into everything I do in life. I do not want you to dread therapy. I want you to feel safe and comfortable. I am non-judgmental, open-minded, and I view your time as valuable. I am so honored to be a part of your journey to a more peaceful and rewarding life.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been a counselor in some capacity. I was drawn to this field for quite a few reasons, starting with my work as a substance abuse counselor with a disenfranchised population. More recently, I have worked with active-duty service members and veterans with life-altering wounds, injuries, and illnesses.

My goals for you

You may come to therapy with a very specific goal, or you may not be sure what your goal is at this time. Perhaps you simply need someone to listen to your concerns and challenges. You are the expert in your own life. I am here to help.

Our first session

We will get to know each other during our first session. I will have questions for you, and you will probably have some questions for me. As we get to know one another, I want you to feel comfortable sharing your goals and your personal reasons for having these goals.
