My communication style

I start off gently and do not rush, build trust, and identify my client's preferences and needs. I take a tailored approach and adjust as needed. I ask curious questions, listen to understand, empathize, never judge, and never tell people what to do. I provide feedback, suggestions, teach skills, and encourage. I like to joke and not be too formal.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been fascinated and curious by other people and their behavior. I love to listen, learn, share, and connect. I have always loved to help, teach, and lead. I have a very big heart and just love to help, encourage, and empower others. I had some tough times growing up and learned a lot of sensitivity to others through my own growth.

My goals for you

In order to help clients reach their goals, I provide a thorough assessment and try to understand and get on the same page with the client. I like to meet clients where they are and make sure clients are on board with me in terms of the treatment plan. I check in and provide accountability, answer questions, and adjust our plan as needed as we go.

Our first session

In a first session, I will try to make my client as comfortable and at ease, and allow the client to open up at their own pace without overwhelming them. I like to explain the purpose of my questions and get on the same page, getting consent along the way. My assessments are generally semi-structured and conversational, never cold or mechanical.
