I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in depression, grief, anxiety, trauma, & self-esteem. Using CBT & multiple psychotherapy approaches, I help clients build resilience & emotional wellness. As a Certified Grief & Trauma & Substance Abuse & Addictions Professional & Air Force veteran, I offer structure, experience, & understanding.

My goal is to guide you through anxiety, grief, work stress, or life transitions that may leave you feeling stuck or lost and help you reconnect with your innate strengths so that you can regain your footing and anchor with your true self.

I have spent the last several years providing direct care to clients experiencing stress, anxiety, and depression, primarily due to caregiver roles, personal/work responsibilities, chronic illness, and concerns related to aging.

I create a supportive space where you can share openly about what brings you to therapy. My focus is on listening carefully to your needs and helping you develop practical tools to move forward with clarity and confidence in your daily life.

I believe the most important thing I can offer as a counselor is this: genuine care. A mentor once told me, “Nobody cares what you know until they know that you care,” and that has stayed with me throughout my career. It shapes how I show up in every session, with authenticity, presence, and respect for your experience.

I work with individuals who may be struggling to find hope after trauma, navigating unexpected life transitions, or managing the trials of medical challenges. I also have a special connection with nurses, medical personnel, and first responders. Initially, my focus is on listening and creating a safe space, to develop a strong therapeutic rapport

Most of the individuals who seek the help of a therapist have tried everything they know how to do, but it just isn't working for them. It is the task of an effective therapist to listen to your concerns and develop ways to assist you in learning better ways of dealing with problems that have bothered you currently and in the past. We can do that.

I have lived a long and colorful life. I've made good and bad choices. I have 22+ years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse treatment field. I DO NOT JUDGE, AT ALL, PERIOD. I am an LMFT licensed in Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. I have a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. My journey began in 2006 as an intern at the Marriage and Family Institute in Abilene, Texas. After 13 years of gaining experience at local agencies, I now love working in private practice!
