I am an LMFT licensed in Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. I have a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. My journey began in 2006 as an intern at the Marriage and Family Institute in Abilene, Texas. After 13 years of gaining experience at local agencies, I now love working in private practice!

I am an independent licensed social worker in clinical practice. My previous work experience has been in mental health in the community and the prison system. I have also worked in a hospice providing grief counseling.

I believe the most important thing I can offer as a counselor is this: genuine care. A mentor once told me, “Nobody cares what you know until they know that you care,” and that has stayed with me throughout my career. I have lived a long and colorful life. I've made good and bad choices. I have 22+ years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse treatment field. I DO NOT JUDGE, AT ALL, PERIOD. I can be both blunt and gentle as appropriate. My life's work can be summed up in three words: "offering people hope".

A native of Charleston, South Carolina. I have provided counseling for the past 35 years (27 years of that in private practice). I graduated from St. Andrews Parish High School and the College of Charleston before receiving my master's degree in clinical counseling from The Citadel.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in SC, recently retired from 13 years of serving Veterans in and around York. SC. Before this, I worked with a large medical group in ND from 2007-2012. My areas of clinical focus include trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral health issues, including chronic pain. Now I work in private practice.
