A native of Charleston, South Carolina. I have provided counseling for the past 35 years (27 years of that in private practice). I graduated from St. Andrews Parish High School and the College of Charleston before receiving my master's degree in clinical counseling from The Citadel.

My experience began in a dual-diagnosis hospital with adolescents facing chronic illness and mental health challenges.
