I am glad you are here. I am an educator, advocate, and helper with nearly 20 years of combined experience. I would be honored to collaborate with and guide you on the journey that brought you here.

My focus

I work with teenagers, adults, and couples who are in need of an unbiased helper who will assist them with navigating the unexpected curveballs that life can throw at us.

In the helping role, I take a collaborative and empowering approach to assist you with achieving your goals. I will empower you to be the expert on yourself and your needs while providing a safe environment and a non-judgmental ear to whatever life events you are currently experiencing.

My journey to mental healthcare

I live with a physical disability, which negated my ability to follow in the family business, join the military, or work in manual labor. At a young age, I recognized that I was blessed with innate gifts of being a good listener and helper. Therefore, I decided to pursue the credentials to formalize my ability to provide counseling.

My goals for you

As we build rapport and trust, we will collaborate on the creation of your goals. I will challenge you by asking reflective questions and assigning homework for self-growth and accountability between sessions. However, I will also challenge you on inconsistencies in session participation and behavior.

Within our first session together, we will spend time getting to know each other. I will share a bit about my journey to the helping role while simultaneously getting to know you and your previous experiences with counseling, if any, and what brought you here.
