My communication style

Humor can be the best medicine! And sometimes helps the medicine go down. You can expect a soft, but honest, therapeutic approach from me, and you can definitely expect some laughs on how we move through life. Once I understand YOUR communication style, I will know how to best communicate with you!

My journey to mental healthcare

I pursued social work because the person I respected most in the world was a social worker: my Mother. The instinct to help is in my blood, and I cannot help but raise my hand and run toward the fire. I was happiest counseling families and kids, talking to caregivers about their traumatized loved ones, because that was where I felt most impactful.

My goals for you

Often, we find that we move in a way that does not mirror where we want to wind up. We will spend time on Socratic Questioning to really settle in on what your ACTUAL goals are. Then we will pick the simplest, easiest, most fun ways to adjust your habits and direction.

Our first session

If it's your first time in therapy, you'll probably feel a little weird! It's not every day you have a person directly focused only on you for an entire hour. We'll ride out the weird together, and you'll get the hang of it before you know it! We'll start with what brought you here and how I can help. No pressure with a friendly face.
