My communication style

I engage in empathic active listening to promote a supportive and non-judgmental environment, one in which you can speak openly, honestly, and with no need for personal censorship. You may even see me jotting down a note (so I don’t interrupt your train of thought) to review and discuss in partnership at the opportune moment.

My journey to mental healthcare

A profound interest in helping individuals express, communicate, interpret, and create a life well-lived began through an early exposure to the arts. Since psychodynamic, or ‘talk therapy’, provides an even greater opportunity to assist others in this pursuit, becoming a therapist was a natural progression for me.

My goals for you

We’ll work together to define meaningful and attainable goals that are relevant, achievable, and applicable to your individual needs. Goals may change and evolve as our work together progresses and you gain expanded understanding and insight. Challenges may arise that are best addressed by a goal revision, which we’ll do in partnership.

Our first session

Anticipating the first therapy session can evoke some nervous apprehension. This is not an unusual response to meeting your therapist for the first time and beginning to address personal concerns. At our initial meeting, we’ll discuss your reason for seeking therapy, talk about your background, and go over some details about the therapy process.
