My communication style

My communication style is friendly, empathetic, and reassuring. I strive to make sure my clients feel accepted, heard, and valued for the unique and important person that they are. I pride myself on staying collected during stressful situations and creating an environment that feels safe. I believe that therapy should be enjoyable.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have been working with children since I was a teen, as a neighborhood babysitter, and as a Social Worker. Interacting and caring for kids, I was always fascinated by their psychology and development. Paired with being a natural empath, and a love for learning about people’s stories and cultures, Social Work and therapy are a great match.

My goals for you

Setting goals is a collaborative process. I can help you to clarify what it is you want to accomplish, verbalize how this will look, and set goals that are achievable. Goals may also be fluid based on your circumstances, so as we revisit them, we can be flexible to change them as needed.

Our first session

I will listen to you and allow a space for you to share what you are able. I may ask clarifying questions about what you are experiencing, and I am open to you asking questions about me and about therapy in general, as we are getting to know each other. My goal is to gain your comfort and trust upon meeting.
