My approach to being a therapist is focusing on where the client is currently and what the presenting issue is, while exploring the area of their life where they feel they need the most improvement. Once the problem area is defined, the therapeutic work will be tailored to how the client responds to various therapeutic interventions.
My focus
I have worked with people aged 2 to 88. I prefer working with adults on the online platform, as children need more hands-on play therapy. I have clients who struggle with medical issues and grief. I find my strength in helping adults adapt to an ever-changing world, along with their ever-changing aging process.
My approach
I worked as a medical social worker in the hospital and clinic setting so have a vast knowledge of how to help people of all ages adapt to new diagnoses. I use narrative, motivational, solution-focused, and CBT theories depending on what you need and what seems to be the best fit.
