Hi there, I'm Metra!

I have experience helping clients with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and depression. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I work with individual clients, specializing in acute mental illness, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and dual diagnosis.

My approach

I'm client-focused and work with my clients to identify what they want to work on and how to set achievable goals. I employ motivational interviewing and person-centered techniques, in addition to DBT and CBT techniques.

My communication style

I create a calm and open environment where the client is able to freely express their thoughts and feelings.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been empathetic to other people's feelings and needs, which led me to the social work and helping profession. As I worked through my internships, I realized that behavioral health and those who need support with substance use and mental health were my calling.

My goals for you

I approach goal setting as a team with my clients; they are the experts in their lives, and they know what the finish line is for them. My job as a clinician is to support them in identifying measurable and achievable goals that they can build upon to obtain their ultimate treatment goal.

Our first session

During the first session, a client can expect to share the reason they are seeking services, a brief history of their past relationships and family dynamics that are important to the treatment in addition to any medications or medical issues. The first session is open for the client to share whatever they feel is important.
