Hi there, I'm Priscilla!

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. In my work, I pull from a variety of therapy frameworks and tailor to every client's unique, specific needs. One of my main focuses is to work from a trauma-informed approach to help clients recognize the pervasive impact of trauma and guide them to recovery.

My focus

If you are experiencing anxiety, depression, fear, and other triggers for post-traumatic stress, I work with adults who manage trauma and substance use concerns. I will work with you to create a customized treatment that will encourage growth and resilience.

My approach

My goal as a therapist is to provide a non-judgmental space for clients to feel safe and vulnerable and to build resilience and gain back control of their lives.

My communication style

I appreciate having open communication to create a safe environment. I practice unconditional positive regard regardless of thoughts, feelings, and actions. I practice active listening and will provide feedback from a place of genuineness and authenticity.

My journey to mental healthcare

I began my curiosity in this field due to my own life experiences that led to my passion and dedication to help people experiencing mental health challenges, trauma, and other hardships. My own experiences showed me that therapy is an undermined tool to support a healthier mindset and validate people's experiences.

My goals for you

I believe in having a collaborative relationship with my clients. I also utilized a person-centered approach and trusted the client's ability to take the lead in finding their solution.

Our first session

The initial session can be hard, but it will be an opportunity for us to learn about what brought you to therapy. Therapy is an ongoing process that takes time and will only be effective if we both work on it.
