Hi there, I'm Ivey!

I have over 30 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have past teaching appointments at both UCLA and Martin Luther King Medical Center. I have a professional and personal interest in mindfulness, the practice of focusing one's awareness on the present. I believe that mindfulness can play an important role in reducing suffering.

My focus

I work with clients who struggle with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, work stress, eating disorders, aging-related issues, and relationship conflicts.

My approach

My therapeutic practice is grounded in cutting-edge science. I practice evidence-based schools of therapy with flexibility to individualize therapy to suit your unique learning and communication styles. I practice ACT, a type of therapy that works with mindfulness, values clarification, and addresses thought patterns that interfere with progress.
