Hi there, I'm Kathleen!

I believe in providing an environment where you can trust the process of being vulnerable as you begin your journey to healing. We all need someone to listen, support, guide, and be honest with us. I hope to encourage you in shedding your chains and walking into a fulfilling life with joy, confidence, and happiness.

My focus

I work with individuals, couples, and families facing trauma, behavioral issues, and substance use. I've served diverse populations including those experiencing homelessness, incarceration, foster care, and school-based settings. I'm here to support anyone seeking healing and growth.

My approach

My approach is strength-based and client-centered. I draw from Narrative and Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT/TF-CBT, Attachment Theory, Art Therapy, and Family Systems. I guide you to identify barriers and goals, focusing on solutions rather than problems. I challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and see life differently.

My communication style

I provide a safe space and will never judge your thoughts, feelings, or experiences. I believe in open and honest communication, which comes with time and trust. Once we've established a foundation, I'll encourage you to reframe negative thoughts and remain open to feedback in this collaborative process.

My journey to mental healthcare

I've wanted to serve others since I was a child. I love my work and remain passionate about meeting new people, supporting those in need, and being that extra nudge so many of us need to take that leap of faith.

We'll collaborate on what's most important for you to focus on so we can make the most of our time together. I won't create a goal you're not aligned with—this is your journey and I'm here to walk alongside you. I suggest focusing on one to two goals at a time.

Our first session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll engage in the assessment process, which means I'll ask personal questions and hope you want to share. I won't rush the process. I encourage you to trust it, let your guard down, and know this is a safe space to process life experiences.
