I prioritize the identification of strengths and building a solid safety plan. I am experienced with youth, adult and elder populations. Common concerns or diagnoses I work with include anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, and self harm. However, I am comfortable and willing to work with other diagnoses.
My approach
Some common approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Gestalt and Solution Focused Therapy. However, the best approach for your needs will be decided collaboratively.
My focus
I work with a spectrum of clients from age 13 to 103. Some areas I am most comfortable treating are adolescent self harm, anxiety, OCD and depression. Adult OCD, anxiety, depression, and parents separated from their children. Parenting skills and knowledge using a Social Learning Theory approach.
My communication style
Working with me should feel natural and comfortable. The environment should give you the comfort and support to acknowledge and address your needs and concerns. You may meet my cat as he likes to make a video appearance from time to time.
My goals for you
Goal setting will always be collaborative. We will work together to identify your goals and the steps needed to attain those goals.
My first session with you
During our first session together we will get the chance to learn about each other and begin identifying what brings you to therapy at this point in your life. Then, we will identify your goals and make a plan to help you achieve your goals.
