Hi there, I'm Veronica!

Nice to meet you, and thanks for visiting my page! I'm Veronica, and I'm originally from Lima, Peru. I’ve been working with adults from all walks of life for about 18 years now, and I’ve loved every minute of it.

My focus

My clients come from many different backgrounds and life experiences, and I consider it a true honor to walk alongside them. I’d love to support you through your current challenges—we’ll start where you are and move forward together. Some of my specialties include Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and Substance Use / Addiction.

My approach

I mostly use cognitive therapy, such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for SUD (CBT-SUD), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), all of this in a strength-based perspective.

My communication style

My clients have described me as understanding and empathic. "You understand where I'm coming from most of the time, and if you don't, you let me explain with no judgments and you make me see I am capable of being better for myself." Another client says, "I can connect with you without judgment, and I am happy I can bring up my Christian beliefs."

My journey to mental healthcare

I decided to get my master's, and after talking to great Social Workers, I decided to apply to the University of Southern California (USC) and pursue the Master of Social Work. From the moment I got the opportunity to work with clients in my first year internship, I knew I had found my niche.

My goals for you

I believe in a collaboratively approach where the client is the main partner in the team. We will set goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant (to the client), and time-limited.
