Hi there, I'm Martha!

Hello all! I am a mental health therapist based in Southern California, in the field for 5 years. My experience has been in community mental health with children and adolescents. I enjoy speaking to my clients and going at their pace and respecting clients' choices. I have worked with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and ODD behaviors.

My approach

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Psychodynamic therapy to help clients understand themselves better and unlearn maladaptive behaviors they may have, with compassion.

My communication style

I prioritize client comfort and use a very conversationalist style to assist with making the therapeutic space feel more open and welcoming.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always found great joy in helping people in any way that I could. As I navigated my early adulthood, I gravitated towards the mental health field because I witnessed how important it was to help my community realize mental health is real, and it's time we finally addressed it.

First sessions, I really enjoy having light conversations about what brings you to therapy and working to determine what has worked in the past and what has not. I enjoy learning fun facts about my clients that make them unique and really use the basis of their personalities as a strength to achieve goals.
