My communication style

I believe feeling fully understood by your therapist is the most important part of the relationship. My approach is warm and patient, and I'm a good listener. In session, I'll ask clarifying questions and reflect on what I'm hearing to make sure you feel well understood.

My journey to mental healthcare

I believe that people are complex and that there is so much depth to the human experience. From a young age, I've always been fascinated with listening to people's stories and asking questions about their inner experiences. I enjoy helping people grow, evolve, and make meaning of their experiences.

My goals for you

I take a collaborative approach to goal setting. At the outset, we'll identify one to two immediate goals for treatment, and at the end of each meeting, we'll summarize how our work ties into the goal. We'll also periodically check in to see how you're doing and if our goals need adjustment.

Our first session

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and there are a lot of unknowns. During our first session, we'll spend the majority of our time talking about the current difficulties you're going through and what your goals are for therapy. I'll ask clarifying questions to get a better understanding of your experience.
