Hello, I'm Sandy Hagan, a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work degree. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and stress management, and I'm here to support you in reaching your goals.
My approach
My therapeutic approach draws from various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and others. I tailor my approach to your unique needs, working collaboratively with you in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
My focus
I work with individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents/teens, and adults. Some of the issues I have experience with include adoption, aging, anger management, anxiety, behavioral issues, borderline personality, coping skills, depression, grief, self-esteem, stress, and trauma from child abuse or neglect.
My communication style
You can expect me to be an empathetic, attentive listener who offers guidance and practical strategies. I aim to create a safe space where you feel heard and validated. Through an interpersonal, person-centered approach, we'll work together to help you gain insight, build resilience, and make positive changes.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you with the self-awareness and coping skills to manage life's challenges, foster personal growth, and improve your overall well-being. Whether you're facing a difficult transition, struggling with painful emotions, or seeking to break unhelpful patterns, I'm here to support you on your journey toward healing and renewal.
My first session with you
During our first session, we'll discuss what brings you to therapy and begin to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship. I'll gather some background information and together we'll start to identify your core issues and goals. You'll have space to share your story and ask any questions you may have about the therapy process. From there, we'll map out a plan that aligns with your needs and objectives.
