My communication style

Therapy should feel like a relief, not a chore. I strive to create a safe, comfortable environment where my clients can be themselves because I feel that a person cannot improve if they are not accepted for who they are. My communication style is casual but always respectful and open to honest client feedback.

My goals for you

People come to therapy with a goal in mind or a problem to solve. I like to focus on the issue that my client feels is the most important and gently guide them toward other issues or factors that might be contributing to the presenting problem. At the end of the day, your therapy should be about what is meaningful to you.

Our first session

In first sessions, I use a client-led approach so you can share everything you think I need to know about why we're meeting. I'll ask clarifying questions, and we'll establish goals and expectations together. Most importantly, the first session introduces you to my style and helps you determine if I'm the right therapist for you.
