Hi there, I'm Claudia!
I am an LCSW based in California, seeing clients via telehealth. I work with adult individuals and specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, addiction/substance misuse, and adjustment to phases of life while walking alongside clients to help them identify the root of their challenges and work towards creating a balance in their lives.
My focus
My experience includes working with diverse groups (Active-Duty Military/Veterans and their family members, LatinX, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+) of clients that have encountered addiction/substance misuse, homelessness, incarceration, trauma, grief and loss, anger management, depression, and anxiety.
My approach
I like to look at the needs of a client and work together with the client to address those needs. The theoretical approaches I like to use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help me and the client better understand their values and how to apply them for a more positive outlook on their life.
