I'm passionate about supporting clients navigating the perinatal period, struggling with professional or parenting burnout, or seeking to regain footing during major life transitions.
My approach
I aim to make therapy feel approachable. I offer trauma-sensitive, attachment/ relationship-focused care. Your identities and cultural background matter as we collaborate to choose approaches that feel meaningful to you. I draw from Mindful-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and the Expressive Arts.
My focus
I work with adult couples and individuals. My specialties include anxiety, depression, job stress/ burnout, LGBTQIA+ issues, life transitions, parenting, relationship issues, self-esteem, women's issues, and pregnancy/prenatal/postpartum concerns.
My communication style
I communicate with warmth, empathy, and a collaborative spirit. My style is conversational yet focused, aiming to create a safe space where you feel heard and supported. I listen intently to understand your unique perspective and tailor my approach to your needs.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have personally experienced the positive impact of therapy during difficult chapters of life. This motivated me to earn my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and provide mental health services to my community. I am driven by a desire to help others access compassion for themselves and find new ways to navigate life's challenges.
My goals for you
You decide what you would like to focus on in therapy. As you share, I can help reflect and clarify specific goals and identify things we may practice in or out of session to achieve these.
My first session with you
In our first session together we will discuss what's bringing you to therapy right now and ways these challenges are affecting your daily life. My first step is to get to know you and your experiences before collaborating on how to approach the changes you are seeking.
