Hello, my name is Denise Dugan, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide psychotherapy services to individuals and couples ready for a change. I am here to be a safe space for clients of all genders, races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations.
My approach
My approach to therapy is to help you learn how to develop a healthy relationship with yourself and implement supportive strategies when navigating difficult situations or complex emotions. Our work together is discovering and developing pathways to a healthier relationship with yourself first.
My focus
I specialize in working with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, stress, racial identity concerns, family conflicts, and relationship issues. I am willing to see both individuals and couples in my practice.
My communication style
Therapy with me is a collaborative process. We work together to find solutions to the anxiety and stresses that are presented in therapy. My role as a Therapist is to help you gain insight and awareness so that you can make necessary changes in your life and behavior that reflect how you want to be in the world.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Baptist College. From 2014 to 2022, I completed my clinical hours for licensure at various locations, including Making A Difference Association, Catholic Charities, Novell and Novell Counseling Services, CBU Counseling Center, and Be Authentic Family Therapy.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you with the tools and insights needed to cultivate a healthier relationship with yourself, navigate life's challenges with greater resilience, and make positive changes that align with your true self and aspirations.
