Hi there, I'm Eric!

Hello, Let's talk about what's going on and get you to where you want to be! My name is Eric Murillo-Angelo and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have over 20 years of experience in behavioral health here in Southern California.

My approach

My approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Problem Solving, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, and Mindfulness practices.

My focus

I have expertise in mood and anxiety disorders, grief and loss, substance abuse, occupational issues, relationship issues, immigration issues, and trauma. Additionally, I have experience working with men's issues, fatherhood, foster care and adoptions, and the LGBT+ populations.

My communication style

My journey to mental healthcare

I received my Bachelor's degree from UC Santa Barbara and my Master of Social Work degree from Cal State Long Beach. My experience ranges from therapeutic work with children, youth, and adults, to executive management over community-based behavioral health and residential programs.

My goal is to help you reach the objectives and outcomes you are seeking through our work together, at a pace that feels right for you.

My first session with you

In our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and start to explore your goals. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to share your story and start the process of growth and healing. We'll go at your pace and begin laying the foundation for our therapeutic work together.
