Hi, I'm Beth, my name is Elizabeth Himsl-Elliott, and most people call me Beth (she/her). I'm a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. I love working with people as they are going through and integrating changes and/or when they want support in understanding and integrating experiences from the past.
My approach
I approach our time together with gentle curiosity, compassion, and unconditional love. All parts of you are welcome in sessions, even parts that might feel difficult or shameful. Some of the approaches that I work with are Attachment-Based, Experiential, Somatic, Existential, Family Systems, Trauma Informed, and Transpersonal.
My focus
Understanding the impact of social and environmental systems on our emotional, physical, and spiritual health is important to acknowledge. All backgrounds and orientations are welcome. I provide a safe supportive space for people to increase coping skills, process experiences and emotions, and explore life transitions. I also support NDErs (Near Death Experiencers) in integrating their experiences.
My communication style
I love providing a welcoming, safe space for clients. I approach our time with gentle curiosity and compassion.
My journey to mental healthcare
My own therapy has been life-transforming. It took me a long time to fulfill my dream of being a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist and I feel honored and blessed that I can share what I have learned with others to enhance their well-being.
My goals for you
I explore what brings clients to therapy, what they hope to gain through therapy, and how they will know when the therapy has been successful.
My first session with you
Introductions and any questions that they have for me. Sharing anything that they think is important for me to know about them, and their goals.
