My approach
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am committed to working with you to create change by developing goals, identifying and increasing strengths, processing experiences, empowering, nurturing, and providing psychoeducation to enable change. My therapeutic approach is drawn from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (certified), Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy model, Attachment theory, Solution-Focused, Functional Family Therapy, Mindfulness, and life coaching guided by individual needs, which reinforces strengths and abilities to facilitate change.
My focus
I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who have experienced anxiety, depression, anger management, ADHD, low self-esteem, PTSD, abuse/neglect, developmental trauma, emotional/sexual trauma, relationship problems, parenting difficulties, attachment difficulties, coping with life stressors, behavioral issues, grief and loss, addiction, and career and school difficulties.

My journey to mental healthcare
My name is Dr. Jacinta Brown-Wade and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. I have worked in the Behavioral Health field for 14 years providing community-based and full-partnership services to children, adolescents, families, and couples. I hold a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy.
