Hello, my name is Carrie. I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have experience working with individuals, families, and groups. My specialties are in grief, aging, death and dying, and loss. My approach to therapy is supportive, strength-based, and client-centered.
My approach
My approach to therapy is supportive, strength-based, and client-centered.
My focus
My client focus is grief and loss, aging, death, and dying.
My communication style
Warm, supportive, encouraging, down to earth
My journey to mental healthcare
I have worked mainly in the medical setting as a social worker in hospitals and hospices. I have worked with individuals as they process their dying experience, and families as they make decisions about end of life, how to be caregivers for their loved ones, and assisted them as they journeyed through grief. End-of-life, caregiving, and bereavement are my passions. This time of life is painful, yet sacred, and I am honored to be a supportive presence through it.
My goals for you
Clients are the experts. I will help them explore their feelings and goals, and determine what feels right for them.
My first session with you
At our first session, we will talk about what brought by clients to therapy, what experiences they have had with therapy, and explore what they are looking for with therapy.
