Hi there, I'm Yusuke!

My name is Yusuke Ninomiya. I am an LCSW, working for the county clinic for 8 years. My focus area is strength-based, and I treat every client as a unique person though they have the same diagnoses such as depression and anxiety.

My approach

My approach to therapy uses techniques from CBT, IPT, DBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing.

I have worked with individuals and adults that are aged from 18 to 40 who deal with Anxiety, Coping Skills, Cultural Stress, Depression, LGBTQIA+, Life Coaching, Life Transitions, Men's Issues, Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD), Self Esteem, Sexual Addiction, Trauma and PTSD, Racial Identity.

My communication style allows me to be flexible and friendly, and use a very casual manner.

My journey to mental healthcare

Feeling that I can actually connect and help someone in need is very powerful and rewarding, and that is not something that AI or computers can do. I believe that everyone deserves a life worth living, so I would like to help them to find a way out.

My goals for you

Therapy will not continue forever, so I like to set SMART Goals (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely).

My first session with you

Self-disclosure is challenging, and people would be fearful of being judged or embarrassed. There are no successful or anticipated outcomes from the beginning, so just self-validate that you will step forward and decide to have a therapy session. I will help you to make it through just fine.
